As Taiwan enters a super-aged society, healthy aging and long-term care have become increasingly important issues that many families are likely to encounter. To enhance employees' health literacy and promote early awareness of long-term care resources, PANJIT organized a Healthy Aging and Long-Term Care Seminar. The Company invited Ms. Meng-Ru Lee, Care Management Supervisor of the Long-Term Care Division, Tainan City Government Health Bureau, to share professional insights on healthy aging, disability prevention and delay, Taiwan's Long-Term Care 3.0 policy, and support resources for family caregivers. Through expert knowledge sharing, PANJIT aims to help employees proactively prepare for their own health and future caregiving needs.
During the seminar, Ms. Lee combined policy updates with practical case studies to provide a comprehensive overview of Taiwan's long-term care system, available services, and resource utilization. She also explained how proactive health management and preventive measures can help reduce the risk of functional decline, enabling employees to better understand the health challenges that may arise at different life stages and the support services available to family caregivers. By incorporating real-life examples, the seminar transformed what is often perceived as a complex topic into practical knowledge that employees can readily understand and apply in their daily lives.
The seminar encouraged active participation, with employees enthusiastically sharing their experiences of caring for family members and elderly relatives while engaging in discussions on home caregiving, long-term care resource applications, and personal health management. The exchange of professional expertise and real-life experiences not only strengthened participants' understanding of healthy aging and long-term care but also reinforced the importance of early prevention and proactive planning, helping employees better prepare for future caregiving responsibilities.
